Bazaar and Obon at Enmanji
SEBASTOPOL — Enmanji Buddhist Temple, 1200 Gravenstein Hwy. South (at Elphick) in Sebastopol, will hold its Chicken Teriyaki and Bazaar on Sunday, July 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Teriyaki chicken dinner plate includes half a chicken, potato salad, rice, and tea or coffee, all for just $13. Drive-through pick-up of boxed dinners opens at 8 a.m.
The event also features bonsai, handicrafts and a raffle.
On the outdoor stage:
11 a.m. — Martial Arts Academy
12 p.m. — Ensohza Minyoshu (traditional Japanese folk music)
1 p.m. — Sonoma County Taiko
2 p.m. — DeLeon Judo Club
3 p.m. — Takemusu Aikido of Sebastopol
4 p.m. — Sonoma County Taiko
The annual Obon Odori will take place on Saturday, July 16, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. In preparation for this event, dance practice will take place each evening from Tuesday, July 12, to Friday, July 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Memorial Hall. There is no cost to participate and everyone is invited. No experience is necessary.
