Visual Communications invites you to a unique celebration of Bruce Lee’s 75th birthday. Start the evening with a screening of the short documentary “Bruce Lee: In His Own Words,” followed by an intimate conversation with his daughter Shannon Lee and goddaughter Diana Lee Inosanto as they reflect on his impact in their own lives and his continuing legacy worldwide.

After the conversation, the celebration continues in JANM’s Aratani Central Hall at 6:30 p.m. with live performances, special guests, a silent auction with unique Bruce Lee items, appetizers, and beverages.

Tickets are $150 for all events, $100 for reception and birthday celebration only. For more information, visit www.vconline.org.

Proceeds from this event will go to support programs at Visual Communications, whose mission is to develop and support the diverse voices of Asian American and Pacific Islander filmmakers and media artists who empower communities, challenge perspectives and shape the landscape of visual culture.

Bruce Lee (1940-1973), the developer of the Jeet Kune Do fighting style, remains a martial arts icon 42 years after his death. He is remembered for such films as “Enter the Dragon” and “The Chinese Connection” and the TV show “The Green Hornet.” “Dragon,” a movie based on his life story, was released in 1993. His son Brandon (1965-1993) was also a martial arts film actor.
