Chopso Launch to Feature ‘Visas and Virtue’

The L.A. launch of Chopso, the world’s first all-Asian, all-English streaming video service, will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Japanese American National Museum’s Center for the Preservation of Democracy, 111 N. Central Ave. in Little Tokyo.

The event will feature a 20th anniversary screening of Chris Tashima’s Academy Award-winning short film “Visas and Virtue,” based on the real-life story of Chiune Sugihara, the “Japanese Schindler”; a screening of Justin Lin’s short documentary about Japanese American basketball, “Crossover”; and a performance by actor and singer Megan Lee.
