Day of Remembrance at De Anza College
CUPERTINO — Day of Remembrance, the 17th annual campus commemoration, will be observed on Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Campus Center, Conference Rooms A and B, at De Anza College, 21250 Stevens Creek Blvd. in Cupertino.
Featuring Nancy Ukai, project director of “50 Objects,” which showcases hidden, faded objects that are now unearthed to powerfully reveal individual, personal stories of Americans rounded up and imprisoned in concentration camps.
There will also be a panel discussion on the Japanese American experience and its lessons to continue the fight today against attacks on Muslim Americans and immigrants.
