End-of-Year Taiko Recital in Torrance

TORRANCE — Staff and students of Asano Taiko US and Los Angeles Taiko Institute (LATI) present contemporary and traditionally inspired taiko repertoire in their end-of-year recital on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the James Armstrong Theater, 3330 Civic Center Dr. in Torrance.

Performances are interspersed with explanations of the roots and context of taiko and commentary on the challenges and joys of learning Japanese drums.
