L.A. Daiku’s Autumn Choral Classics Concert

ALTADENA — The Los Angeles Daiku will perform its Autumn Choral Classics on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Altadena Community Church, 943 E. Altadena Dr. in Altadena.

The program begins at 4 p.m. and will feature works by Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Fauré and selections from Händel’s “Messiah.”

Jeffrey Bernstein will conduct the L.A. Daiku chorus, accompanied by pianist Nathan Dugi-Turner.

Admission is free, and donations are welcome.

L.A. Daiku is also reaching out to singers in the community who wish to take part in their New Year’s concert, set for Jan. 15, 2017 at the Aratani Theatre in Little Tokyo, as well as their July performance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. At both events, the full chorus will perform the choral sections of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.
