Mutual Support

A reception for Democratic Reps. Mike Honda (left) of the 17th Congressional District, which includes Cupertino, Fremont and part of San Jose, and Ted Lieu (right) of the 33rd Congressional District, which includes Malibu, Marina Del Rey and Manhattan Beach, was held April 10 at the Santa Monica home of Lisa Ling, host and executive producer of CNN’s “This Is Life with Lisa Ling,” and her husband, Dr. Paul Song (center), executive chairman of Courage Campaign. Ling was unable to attend. Honda, who is serving his eighth term in the House of Representatives, faces a rematch with fellow Democrat Ro Khanna in the June primary and, most likely, the November general election. Lieu, who is serving his first term, and his Republican opponent, Kenneth Wright, are unopposed in their respective primaries and will face off in the fall. On the presidential front, both Honda and Lieu are members of Hillary Clinton’s AAPI Leadership Council, but they said they will support the party’s nominee regardless of the outcome. (J.K.
