SAN JOSE — This Sunday, Feb. 10, on “Asian Pacific America” with Robert Handa:
Television journalist and producer discusses his documentary, simply titled “Mayor Ed Lee,” which tells the inspiring story of the late mayor’s life, from growing up in Seattle public housing to becoming San Francisco’s first Asian American mayor. The film premieres Monday, Feb. 11, at San Francisco’s Herbst Theater.

Learn about one of these businesses, QTViet Cafe, which serves as a cultural hub for the queer and trans Vietnamese community.
“Asian Pacific America” celebrates the Year of the Pig with a shopping trip in San Francisco’s Chinatown, where we learn about some of the New Year’s traditions.
