‘Noodles for Nippon’ at JCCCNC
SAN FRANCISCO — Friends of Fukushima presents “Noodles for Nippon,” a fundraiser for the Horikawa Aiseien Children’s Home in Fukushima, on Sunday, Nov. 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California, 1840 Sutter St. in San Francisco’s Japantown.
The Horikawa Aiseien Children’s Home is for orphaned, abused and neglected children who need help now. Their homes were badly damaged in the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami, which forced them to undergo complete reconstruction and undertake a debt equal to $1.2 million.
The cost for all-you-can-eat udon is $10 presale, $12 at the door. A la carte tempura is $3. Kids 5 and under eat free with a paid adult.
