Obon Festival at Alameda Buddhist Temple

ALAMEDA — Buddhist Temple of Alameda, 2325 Pacific Ave. in Alameda, will hold its Obon Festival on Saturday, July 23, from 4 to 9 p.m. Free admission.
The mini food bazaar, which begins at 4 p.m., will offer teriyaki, udon, hot dogs and hamburgers.
There will also be an art show, an ikebana flower exhibit, and a taiko performance at 5:30 p.m.
Bon Odori starts at 7:30 p.m. The last dance practice is on Thursday, July 21, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Social Hall.
Obon/Hatsubon service will be held on Sunday, July 24, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Henry Adams of San Mateo Buddhist Temple as guest speaker, followed by otoki lunch at 11:30 a.m.
