Obon Festival at Fowler Buddhist Church

FOWLER — Buddhist Church of Fowler, 210 S. 9th St. in Fowler, will hold its Obon Festival on Saturday, July 18, from 6 to 11 p.m.

Bon Odori starts at 8 p.m. Participants are invited to wear kimono or happi coats and to bring sensu (folding fans), uchiwa (round fans) and tenugui (towels). Those who do not know the dances can follow the lead dancers on the yagura.

The festival will also include food and taiko performances.
