Obon Festival at Visalia Buddhist Church

VISALIA — Visalia Buddhist Church, 514 Center Ave. in Visalia, will hold its 2016 Obon Festival on Saturday, June 25.

The evening of celebration is open to the public and free to attend. Dinner and snacks will be available for purchase (cash only) starting at 5 p.m.

A taiko drum performance at 7:45 p.m. will be followed by Obon dancing at 8 p.m.

The final dance practice will be held on Thursday, June 23, at 7 p.m. at the Church Annex. Bring a fan and castanets if you have them.
