Obon Odori at Sacramento Buddhist Church

SACRAMENTO — Sacramento Buddhist Church, 2401 Riverside Blvd. in Sacramento, will hold its annual Obon Odori on Saturday, July 11, from 7 to 9 p.m.

People of all ages are invited to participate in the dancing. The last Obon practice is on Thursday, July 9, at 7 p.m.

Obon cemetery visitations will take on July 11 at Oddfellows (9 a.m.), Sacramento Memorial (10 a.m.), East Lawn (11 a.m.) and the Betsuin Nokotsudo (12 p.m.).

Obon/Hatsubon service will be held on Sunday, July 12, at 9:30 a.m. (English) and 1 p.m. (Japanese). Guest speaker: Bishop Kodo Umezu.

The 2015 Japanese Food and Cultural Bazaar will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 8 and 9, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
