SACBC’s 53rd Annual Japanese Bazaar

UNION CITY — Southern Alameda County Buddhist Church, 32975 Alvarado Niles Rd. in Union City, will hold its 53rd annual Japanese Bazaar on Saturday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 12, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Food booths will offer teri-burgers, teri-dogs, corn on the cob, shave ice, chicken teriyaki, gyoza, udon, sushi and manju.

Entertainment will include O-Nami Taiko, kendo, Japanese dance, and hula.

Games for children and adults will include Bingo, Demon Smash, Koi Pond and Nickel Pitch.

The bazaar will also feature an ikebana exhibit, a bonsai exhibit and demonstration, a Buddhism mini-lecture, boutique and crafts, and a chance to have your name written in Japanese.
