San Jose J-Town FilmFest This Weekend

SAN JOSE — The second annual J-Town FilmFest, a celebration of San Jose Japantown’s multi-ethnic community and rich history, will be held from Friday, May 20, to Sunday, May 21.

An all volunteer-run effort by a diverse team of community members, the festival showcases independent films primarily by Asian and Pacific Islander American filmmakers and offers quality programming, giving the Bay Area community a chance to interact with the creative talents behind these films.

Friday and Saturday — JTS Northside Community Center, 488 N. Sixth St.

Sunday — Japanese American Museum of San Jose, 535 N. Fifth St.; Wesley United Methodist Church, 566 N. Fifth St.
