Summer Evening Concerts at JANM
Magnetic North and Taiyo Na
The Japanese American National Museum, 100 N. Central Ave. in Little Tokyo, presents a new series of summer evening concerts with Asian American performers.
Featured artists on Thursday, July 30, at 7 p.m. are musical collaborators Magnetic North and Taiyo Na, who have achieved enormous popularity in Japan with their politically conscious brand of hip-hop.
Also appearing are Irish-Japanese American singer-songwriter Marié Digby, who vaulted to fame after her acoustic cover version of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” went viral on YouTube, and Los Angeles–based singer-songwriter Priska.
Kogi BBQ, Arroy Food Truck, and Frach’s Fried Ice Cream will be on site, along with a beer garden sponsored by JANM’s Young Professionals Network.
